Ben Magee, Director
A music enthusiast at heart, Ben’s journey in the music industry began when he established New Champion Management in late 2019, setting up a home and infrastructure for the artists and sounds that he loved.
With global partners, 80+ million streams across the roster and live performances in 20+ countries, New Champion represents the best artists in Ireland with bespoke strategy and unwavering passion.
Ben has served as a creative consultant for UNESCO, Belfast City Council and Output Belfast, and has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and artist development programmes across Ireland and the UK.
Currently, he heads up the creative, logistic and business strategy for New Champion Management from its HQ in Belfast, NI.
Scott ‘Oso’ Barr, NA Rep
As a former USN-R Corpsman, Emergency Room Tech, EMT and currently a Registered Nurse, Scott has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. After retiring from bedside nursing, he found his desire to help others unfulfilled. With a great passion for live music and a continued desire to help others, he founded RestPit.org in 2016 to provide Harm Reduction services at music related events in Central Texas.
Scott spent 4 years as the sound engineer and roadie for a Texas electric blues band in the 90’s, and continues to support Austin TX Bands and Musicians in any way he is able. In the early 2010’s, he started volunteering at music festivals such as Austin City Limits and South By Southwest (SXSW). This led to working with the British Music Embassy (BME) annually during SXSW.
Scott began working with New Champion Management in 2022 when Scott provided logistical, physical and gear support to Artists on the roster during SXSW and is now officially the Texas Representative of New Champion Management.
